MR. FRANK OPPONG YEBOAH - Chairman
Mr. Frank Oppong Yeboah is the Executive Vice-Chairman of StarLife Assurance Company Limited . He graduated from the University of Ghana with a BA (Hons.) degree. He holds a Diploma with distinction in Insurance from the West Africa Insurance institute (WAII).
He is a Chartered Insurer and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (U.K.) He was the proud recipient of the prestigious Rutter Medal in 1999 for the best qualifying fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute worldwide. He has twenty six (26) years experience in the insurance industry.
He has attended several insurance management seminars and courses both locally and abroad. The courses attended include Munich Re Marine Seminar held at the SSNIT Guest House - Accra, The 8th Advance Course in Non- Life Insurance at SWISS Insurance Training Centre, Zurich, Switzerland and Willis Faber Marine Overseas Training Workshop, London. Prior to joining Star Assurance Company Ltd. in 2000, he was a Senior Manager in the Motor Department of the State Insurance Company Limited, having previously worked in that company’s Marine Department for several years. Mr. Oppong Yeboah is a member of two important committees and a member of the Ghana Insurers Association. He was a member of the Ethics Committee and a member/secretary of ECOWAS Brown Card Committee. He is a visiting lecturer of the West African Insurance Institute in the Gambia. He joined Star Assurance Company Limited in 2000 as a Chief Manager, Technical and was promoted to General Manager, Technical Operations in 2004. In 2006 he was seconded to StarLife Assurance Company Limited as the General Manager, Operations.
MRS. AKOSUA DUFFUOR - Member
Mrs. Akosua Duffuor is the Executive Director of uniCredit Ghana Limited. She has varied experience as an administrator and has held/hold various positions such as the Managing Director of Woodland Limited, Managing Director of Integrated Properties Limited and also a Director of Star Assurance till 2002. She is also an accomplished private entrepreneur and a devoted Christian.
MR. SIMEON TAWIAH – Member
He holds Bachelors Degree in Commerce and an MBA in Accounting. He is a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) Ghana and has worked as Head of Audit at Metropolitan and Allied Bank. He joined uniBank in February 2001 as Head of Audit and is currently the General Manager, Compliance & General Services.
MISS BOATEMAA PANIN DUFFUOR – Member
Miss Boatemaa Panin Duffuor is currently the Executive Director of Star Assurance Company Limited. She graduated from the University of Leicester, U.K. with a BA (Hons) in History and Politics. She also holds an Msc in Management and an Msc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southampton. Miss Duffuor is a Chartered Insurer and an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, U.K.
Miss Duffuor was employed as a Legal and Administrative Assistant in September 2001 and has risen through the ranks through her continuous dedication and commitment to excellent professional standards.
From the position of Legal and Administrative Assistant, Miss Duffuor was promoted to a Manager Trainee in July 2003 where she worked in all the various workgroups of the Company for four years. With her rich experience and training in insurance, in August 2007 she was made Manager in charge of the Broker Relations unit. Miss Duffuor distinguished herself in this position and was promoted to Senior Manager, solely responsible for Business Development in 2008. She performed her duties with enthusiasm to the admiration of all and after carving out a remarkable performance, in 2009 she was made the Executive Director.
MR. STEPHEN AMEYAW - Member
Mr. Stephen Ameyaw holds a BSc. Degree from the University of Cape Coast. MSc. (Economics) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon and Diploma in Economics of Banking, from Finafrica, Italy. He worked with the Bank of Ghana for 30 years and retired from the services of the Bank as Assistant Director. From October 2000 to October 2003, he was seconded by the Bank to the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM), Nigeria as a Director. Mr. Ameyaw had many years of progressive and diverse responsibilities in the development, regulation, monitoring and supervision of Rural/Community Banks and microfinance institutions. He was involved in the implementation of various strategies for the promotion of rural financial intermediation in Ghana, which entail the deepening of outreach and expansion of services to large number of rural clients. He was in a Team of Consultants engaged by the Government of Ghana Rural Financial Services Project to design the methodology and prepare a Manual for implementing microfinance outreach and capacity building initiative for Rural/Community Banks and undertook consultation and sensitization on the approach. He has been the Technical Director on the Board of Anum Rural Bank over the past six (6) years. Mr. Ameyaw joined uniCredit Ghana Limited as the Managing Director on 1st August 2006.
MR. ANTHONY MARSHALL ARPOH - Secretary to Board
Anthony Marshall Arpoh is a practicing Lawyer and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. Prior to joining uniCredit Ghana Limited, Mr. Arpoh was a Legal Manager from 2012 to May 2013 at Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank Limited.
He had previously served as Legal Officer for ProCredit Savings and Loans from 2010 to December 2011.
He has over six years corporate practice experience and seven years of private practice as Legal practitioner. He holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in Philosophy, LLB (Hons) all from the University of Ghana, Legon and a professional Law degree (BL) from the Ghana School of Law, Accra.
He has currently completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Banking and Finance and is working on his thesis. He has attended many workshops and conferences. Mr. Arpoh’s vision, together with his team is to contribute immensely to the growth of uniCredit Ghana Limited.
